HOW DO I KNOW MY MUSIC IS BEING PLAYED IN STORES?

Each store has their own specific log-in through TrackAvenue.com which allows us to track when and how often each song is being played since it all gets streamed via the web. It also allows Track Avenue to design each stores perfect playlist for the day. An added benefit is that the songs will also be available for purchase through TrackAvenue.com so any person who previously visited the store can go online, find the song and purchase it.


CAN WE CREATE OUR OWN PACKAGE?

Yes. We work with you to make sure you are 100% satisfied so if you are interested in package 4 but want something more or less we can adjust things accordingly since everyone is looking for something to suit their own specific needs.


WHO CHOOSES THE SONGS THAT GET PLAYED IN STORES?

Track Avenue's A&R department begins the process by sitting down and talking with you to determine which songs you would like to have played. The A&R team then design each stores monthly set-list which gets reviewed thereafter by TA's Music Director. We then review the playlist with you before it goes live in stores.


CAN ANY CHANGES BE MADE TO PLAYLISTS THROUGHOUT THE MONTH?
Changes can be made at any time. All you have to do is express you thoughts and we'll make any changes necessary.

WHAT IS SOCAN?
The Society of Composers, Authors & Music Publishers of Canada. It is a collective that makes sure creators of music get paid for the public performance and communication of their music. SOCAN collects licensing fees, which are set by the Copyright Board of Canada from anyone playing or broadcasting live or recorded music.

DO WE HAVE ACCESS TO UPLOAD MATERIAL ON THIS SITE?

All material is uploaded by our web team. If you want to add some new material just contact your rep and send him over the material. We'll review the web specifications and then have it posted ASAP.


HOW DO I AS AN ARTIST BENEFIT FROM BEING PLAYED AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS?
By reaching anywhere from 1000 to almost 50,000 people on a monthly basis is a good start. Your music is being exposed to the public on a repetitive basic at your chosen leisure. We work with you to secure show dates which ultimately pays off this fee with one booking. And if that's not enough, these packages also include web promotion, PR deals, development deals and more at no extra charge. How many other distribution or promotion services can offer you those kind of services and that kind of reach for that price. None, trust us, we've done our research.

ARE CONTRACTS INVOLVED IN THIS SERVICE?
Yes, but it is quite basic. It simply states that you (the artist) gives permission to have your music played in select locations. We do not ask for any rights to the music and nor should we. You are simply paying for a service in exchange for it. We do offer further involvement within our label but that is a selective process offered to specific artists. That contract is different as it involves a different working relationship.

WHAT DO WE GET FOR BEING THE FEATURED ARTIST OF THE MONTH?

Track Avenue deals with various booking agents all throughout the country. As the featured artist, you get a greater opportunity to be placed in some of the larger venues across Canada.  You will also be offered various publicity and development opportunities that will be designed specifically for you.
